A different kind of Christmas box

2020 was a year like no other, and Christmas was no different. That’s why Torque decided that rather than sending out traditional Christmas boxes to customers, we’d lend a hand to some of those who had found the year especially hard.

We teamed up with local charity Barca and donated Christmas trees and lights to over 200 families in Leeds, where our head office is located.

The trees and lights were accompanied by packs of pens and accessories for people to make their own decorations, as we supported those families impacted by poverty, poor mental health and other challenges, the effects of which had obviously been magnified over the previous traumatic months.

Enabling local families to enjoy a safe and happy Christmas felt like a fitting way of giving something back to the local community on behalf of our customers – something that was confirmed in their messages to us.

This year we feel it is particularly important to support families the best way we can to have a safe and happy Christmas. My words can’t really express how many smiles and good times the trees and lights will bring. Sincere thanks to all at Torque.”
