Meet July’s ‘Proactive’ Top Torque Teammate
Each month, Team Torque votes for a colleague that they think deserves recognition for living our values and just generally being a bit of a superstar. From those nominations, one teammate gets selected as Top Torque Teammate of the Month and wins £100.
This month the team voted for a colleague who they think embodies the Torque behaviour of ‘Proactive’

Aleksandra Tomkiel. Aleksandra is a Stock Controller on the Moss contract based at our Wakefield site. Her colleagues nominated her not just for being proactive but also passionate, customer centric and a pleasure to work with. Here are some of the things they said:

Insider Insight: Stock Controller on Moss
We spoke to Aleksandra and asked her to provide some insight into what it’s like being a stock controller at Torque on one of the UKs most loved menswear brands. Moss, previously known as ‘Moss Bros’ is a premium versatile menswear brand started in 1851. They are in a period of substantial growth, opening new stores all over the UK including recently in St James Quarter, Edinburgh and a new 1948 sq ft store in Gloucester Quays. Their premium modern tailoring offering is synonymous with their brand, and great product and looking after the stock diligently is a key part of maintaining customer-satisfaction.
Can you tell us, what does a Stock Controller do?
I take care of general stock control. I make sure the inventory is clean and I am responsible for resolving any errors related to discrepancies in product quantities. I also deal with inventory issues, inventory movements, rotation, adjustments, and damage reporting.
What do you love about being a part of Team Torque?
The best thing about being part of the Torque team is that through my work, I influence the functioning of the department and thus the impact on customer satisfaction. I like it when the results of my work allow the company to achieve its goals.
Which of your skills and qualities have contributed to your success?
My commitment and the fact that I always perform tasks with accuracy and try to understand the problem. I am a well-organized person and I meet the deadlines for completing my tasks.
Will you share a fun fact about yourself?
I love to travel. My dream that I know will come true, is to visit Bali, Thailand and Japan.
