This month we held the first annual Torque Managers Insight Day since 2019. It’s been a long time since some managers had had a chance to spend time with one another, and for others, this was their first chance to meet their peers from other Torque sites.
Insight Day is essential for the business to highlight different teams’ great work, share knowledge, and encourage cross-pollination and ideation. The afternoon was spent immersing ourselves in company and department updates and working on new ideas and innovations for the business. After the work came the fun, as each team broke off to play The Crystal Maze and compete for an elusive gold medal and, more importantly, the associated glory that comes with victory. Teams fought valiantly, with the top ranking battling it out to the (not quite) death. Still, in the end, the formidable team named ‘Sexy John’ (for reasons unable to disclose) were crowned Crystal Maze champions and will have their names carved onto the legendary Torque Insight Day shield.
